Weaver Publishing
Weaver Publishing was set up by Maggie Tisserand in order to publish books that straddle two genres – aromatherapy (self help) and scientific research (medicine) – making it difficult to get her sixth and seventh books published by any of the traditional publishing companies. Maggie has plans to write more books – both non-fiction and fiction, as well as to publish new authors.
Maggie is currently completing a twelve-chapter health book.
Maggie's Writing History
Maggie Tisserand wrote Aromatherapy for Women in the early 1980s – pencil on paper – in a two week period (away from her children) and then typed up her hand-written pages on a manual portable typewriter. ‘Cut and paste’ was a pair of scissors and a roll of sticky tape.
Maggie then telephoned the commissioning editor of Thorsen’s Publishing (later to be incorporated into Harper Collins) and was told that an aromatherapy book would sit well in their self help section. Maggie sent a sample chapter and synopsis and received a contract by return post.
That first book has, from 1985 to the present day, gained audiences in many countries, with the most recent English language imprint marketed as an International Bestseller.
With sales already in excess of 700,000, Aromatherapy for Women is still selling in e-book format and the paperback in the US. The Hangul paperback is selling across South Korea.
Antiviral Aromatherapy
Antiviral Aromatherapy – Revised 2026 – includes a few changes yet remains on Amazon platforms at £10.50 paperback and £4.50 e-book. Following the 2019 outbreak of Coronavirus (SARS-2-V) Maggie has researched and published a very useful book, written for the curious – from newcomers to the subject of alternative medicine to qualified aromatherapists, nurses and doctors looking for natural and safe antiviral information to help combat a viral-caused-syndrome.
This edition includes up-to-date information on the likely causative factor that underpins long Covid and this current research can be found in precis form at the end of Part 1.
Referenced articles written by health and science staff at major newspapers and on-line news sites quite clearly point the finger of suspicion to the virus remaining in the body, in one form or another:
- A viral particle
- Viral proteins
- Reactivation of a dormant virus such as Epstein Barr virus (EVB)
- A persister virus that is lurking in the body, as herpes simplex (of the lips) retreats into the facial nerves beneath the skin and lives in nerve ganglia, to emerge in the form of a cold sore when the body is under stress.
A definitive cause for the existence of long Covid could be years away, but early research has already provided some significant answers to the question “What underpins long covid?”
